BGR

Yesterday we had our BGR session in Lutong Baru Church and it was good but most of the things i've heard before and the rest is just logic. yessss..... but somehow we still need this type of event to remind and reassure us again that certain things are right to do and the rest might not be. they highlighted that we should not be in a relationship with a nonbeliever otherwise we will have unequal yoke with that significant other. This means that the nonbeliever would bring us down to a level as low as them spiritually as they do not know God the way we do. After that, the pastor talked a little about the characters of both genders and also the way their body works that makes us so different. She also pressed on the fact that if we are born as a girl/boy, we will stay as a girl/boy for the rest of our lives no matter how we alter our body parts. This i because we will still have the genetics of a girl/boy and for boys they will still have one rib bone lesser :)

There's also testimonies from the team from KL about their failed love life and the one that nudge me the most is the relationship one of the girl had with a guy who is very active in church and serves in the worship team. For her, he was the perfect one because he loves God and does things for Him by serving in the church. She was pretty happy with her choice as everyone wants a boyfriend that loves God the way we would. So in a sense she felt proud of him. Then one day there's a pastor from India came to their church and she prayed for that girl. The pastor told the girl that she saw a shadow standing behind her and told that girl that it was her boyfriend. Then the pastor warn her that that boy was not meant for her so she got really mad  and decided to just ignore the warning because apparently she thinks that the pastor do not know her so she won't know the best for her plus her boyfriend was so perfect. Then as time passes by, her boyfriend didn't turn out to be so perfect after all. He had problems with his parents and at times he would shout at his mother or father. In addition, the girl's parents also do not like him because of his ill attitude and character. So, she broke off with him and she regretted not listening to the pastor from India's warning.

Before this, i always wanted a guy that serves in church and would lead me to grow stronger in God. But after listening to that girl's testimony, i just hope that God will provide what's best and suitable for me :')
